in the faculties of science, the concept of alternative
medicines also growing popular. Alternative medicine

Alternative medicine is the practice of medicine using
nutrition, herbs, homeopathy, supplements and other
forms of natural health care for betterment of health.
Principles of alternative medicines are based on the
state of mind, body and its positive and negative
interaction. Roots of these medicine traced thousands
year back to Indian and Chinese civilization (Ayurvedic
and Chinese medicines). Naturopathy is one of the
popular and widely accepted systems of alternative
medicine. Naturopathy system is a distinct system of
healthcare. It is a considered as science, philosophy
and practice of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of
illness including some chronic diseases.
Allopathy as a modern science believes in the use
of drugs for the treatment of disease (mainly symptoms
of disease). Faculties of science support allopathy
because treatment in allopathy is bases on detail and
elaborative study of anatomy, physiology of the human
body and pathophysiology of the disease. Mechanism of
action of drug can be explained and supported with
several experiments. No drug can be used in human body
before studying its efficacy in the animals. Allopathy
is always a better choice for patients who want fast
relief from the disease.
Principles of Naturopathy and Allopathy
Naturopathy believes on the morbid matter theory and
concept of vital force. References for naturopathic
medicine are already available in old texts which
indicate that these methods were widely practiced in
ancient India and China. Accumulation of morbid matter,
abnormal composition of blood and lymph, and lowered
vitality are three basic principles of Naturopathy.
Principles of naturopathy states that, all disease,
their cause and their treatment are one, the basic cause
of disease is not bacteria and pathogens but
accumulation of morbid matter in body. Acute diseases
are considered beneficial for our body because it clears
the morbid matter from body. In Naturopathy, chronic
diseases are seen as the outcome of wrong treatment and
suppression of the acute diseases. Naturopathy believes
in the treatment of patient and not the disease, body
has the capacity to prevent itself from diseases and
regain health if unhealthy. Naturopathy treats physical,
mental, social and spiritual aspects at the same time.
